Year 3 Visit to Tate Modern

Year 3 – the new Natural History unit

 

 

Watch out David Attenborough and Frozen Planet, here come Year 3’s very own Natural History programmes – and they managed to travel back in time too!

The children made their own realistic sets and characters and animated them in groups using I can animate. They then exported the films to iMovie to add titles, sound, music and their own voiceover!

Music Recital – Tuesday 21st June 2011

Dear Ruby Class,

I just wanted to say how proud I am of all you who performed today at the recital infront of your friends and family.  You all worked hard and as a reward performed really well.

Year 3 Art Gallery

Red and Ruby class turned the middle hall into an art gallery for the afternoon. Children from other classes were invited to make their own art.  We even had a quiz with prizes for the correct answers.   All the children worked hard to create beautiful artwork. 

      

       

       

            

          

          

          

Crazy Talk – Year 3

Year 3 went to Kingwood CLC to learn how to use Crazy Talk.  All the children had a turn at animating a face and then adding a voice.

          

       

   

Red Nose Day

Children throughout the school supported Red Nose Day this year.  We had a hilarious time at the assembly and enjoyed the comedy acts.

     

   

   

Saatchi Gallery Excursion

Year 3 had a great time at the Saatchi Gallery.  They collected twigs and leaves from the garden and made artwork.

  

  

 

 

  

 

   

    

Treasure

Year 3 learnt a lot during our Treasure unit of work.  We had three great excursions too.
