Year 5 IPC EXIT POINT (Celebrating the end of our learning)

The Middle Hall was tranformed on Thursday 23rd February as year 5 parents had to decide which planet they would live on. They discovered that planet Earth had been destroyed and the human race needed another planet to survive on.

The children worked extremely hard using their learning from science, art, design technology, literacy, numeracy and ICT to convince members of the audience.

Year 5 Road Safety Assembly

Learning about being safe on the roads is extremely important especially as we start to become more independent walking to and from school on our own. To raise this issue we learnt about how to be safe on the roads through our own television show! We had the chance to become: presenters, broadcasters, interviewers, interviewees and members of the audience. It was really funny but with an important message clearly shared.

Green class went on a trip to the Toy workshop at Fulham Palace Museum

Our new topic is Toys and for our entry point  we went to a toy workshop at Fulham Palace. We learnt about lots of different kinds of toys. We looked at old and new toys and talked about how they are made from different materials. We looked at how all the different toys moved and how some needed to be wound up where some needed pushing or pulling. We really enjoyed out day out and look forward to learning lots more about toys at school.

Making pancakes in Nursery

The children in the nursery listened to the story of Mr Wolf’s Pancake. They then mixed milk, flour and egg and stirred for a very long time.
Rita then put the mixture in the frying pan.
