W11 Opera

On Friday night a selection of Addison children were invited to watch the premiere of Original Features by the W11 Youth Opera company.

It was a wonderful show that the children all enjoyed. We would like to say a huge well done to Mila in Year 5 too who had a role and looked great up on that stage!

Music Extravaganza

Talented Year 6 Steel-panists led a fantastic celebration of musical talent at Addison this afternoon. Over 100 children performed, showcasing the wide range of instruments being taught at Addison. Whole class, group and individual performances were superb and loudly applauded by the biggest audience of proud parents that we have ever had!

Year 5 Music

This week we started to learn the violin! We were very excited!

Year 2 meet the steel pan man

As part of our learning about  the jobs people do, year 2 had the chance to meet Mr Holder and ask him questions about his job teaching steelpans and working with the CSI band.

Hands up who’d like to learn steel pans in Year 3!

Addison Music Recital

On Tuesday 29th November, Addison had it’s second Autumn Music Recital!  Almost 200 of our children were performing in this exciting event.

We had children from year 1 to year 4 playing the guitar.

Years 3 and 4 performed short songs, accompanied by recorder playing.

Year 5 played a combination of cellos, violas and violins.

We also had singing, clarinet, flute, steel pan, drumming and piano pefromances.

A huge thank you to all those who were able to attend.  We hope even more parents are able to come along to the next recital!
